When I discovered (quite by accident) a brochure for
David's classes, I was completely unfamiliar with airbrushing.
I called to inquire, and on a whim, I signed up, not knowing
what to expect. David's creativity, enthusiasm, and innovative
teaching style had me hooked from the very first class. Prior
to that, my artistic background consisted of taking some oil
painting classes. I enjoyed David's basic classes so much, I
went on to take the advanced classes, and then (my favorite)
the Top Gun classes. David's practical approach to supplies,
"tricks of the trade," and which airbrushes to use has already
saved me more than the cost of the classes. More importantly,
these classes have "expanded my horizons," changing my
approach to all artistic endeavors, challenging me to "think
outside the box." David's encouragement has inspired me to try
thing I never would have had the confidence to attempt. I've
gone from complete novice to winning first place in juried art
competitions, and to selling my work professionally. I never
expected a curious phone call about airbrush classes would
lead me to a new career that's more creatively challenging and
fun than anything I've ever done before. To say that I highly
recommend David's classes is an understatement. For me, it's
honestly been a life-changing experience.

MR. MORTON
HELLO,
I JUST WANTED TO GIVE YOU A GREAT BIG "THANK YOU" FOR
HELPING TO BRING SOME LIFE BACK INTO A YOUNG MAN. DREW HAD SO
MUCH ENTHUSIASM IN HIS VOICE YESTERDAY WHEN I SPOKE WITH HIM
ON THE PHONE. HE RETURNED TO WORK AFTER AIRBRUSH CLASS AND
CALLED TO LET ME KNOW HOW THINGS WENT. HE WAS JUST THRILLED
WHEN HE WAS EXPLAINING THINGS TO ME. HIS BROTHER EVEN SAID
THAT AIRBRUSH CLASS WAS ALL HE TALKED ABOUT IN THE AFTERNOON
AT WORK. I AM SO THANKFUL THAT I STUMBLED ONTO YOU AND YOUR
AWESOME TALENT. I TRULY THINK GOD HAD OUR PATHS CROSS. I HOPE
THAT DREW WILL TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY AND RUN WILD WITH IT. HE
SEEMS SO INTERESTED RIGHT NOW. HE REALLY NEEDS SOMETHING TO
FEEL GOOD ABOUT AND I HOPE THAT THIS IS IT. THANKS
AGAIN.
HAVE A GREAT WEEK

I have taken David's class and felt it provided a great
foundation for anyone interested in airbrushing. The
introductory class covers various techniques that have
application in any art form where an airbrush is used. Each
week you cover a new technique/application which builds on the
things you learned from the previous weeks. To address the
different learning styles that people have, David explains
each topic in detail, and then walks you through the process
again while he actually paints the project piece. Throughout
each lesson, he emphasizes the need to constantly practice the
basics: the dagger stroke, maintaining the correct distance
from the surface, trigger control, etc. The advanced course
continues to build upon what you learned in the introductory
course while teaching you more advanced techniques how to
render certain textures and/or effects in a composition. If I
had to highlight the areas that had the greatest impact for me
it would the classes on portraiture, rendering different skin
tones, and the technique/application of shading to a
composition. This in no way downplays the value of the
information gained in the other lessons; these were my
personal highlights.

I have been interested in learning how to airbrush for a
long time. After extensive research I found Dave’s website,
and I decided to call him and get more information about his
classes. I had looked at all the artwork on Dave’s website,
and I talked to him about what I was looking for from an
airbrush class. I am interested in all aspects of the airbrush
culture, and my goal was to learn as much as I could to be
able to render artwork that looks completely professional. As
Dave explained his method of teaching and what subjects his
classes covered, my interest in airbrushing became even
greater.
The way Dave structured his classes and the way he
introduced us to "the tricks of the trade" made it easy to
understand and retain the information he presented. Even
though Dave’s class is geared to the graphic side of
airbrushing, he still talked to us about the historical
background of airbrushing and the unlimited income potential
available using even basic airbrushing techniques.
The fact that Dave cares about this art is demonstrated in
the way he teaches and the care he shows towards his students.
While making money is important, it is evident that Dave is
not teaching classes just for that purpose.

David, again... in a word... Thank you. Again, I found
your class very beneficial. I may not be able to jump
right in but it will be a part of my future. In other
words I don't want to be an Administrative Assistant all
my life. But once again, my 401(k) is very
important.....especially after also opening our own
business. I can see my painting will be an extension of
our business....starting with the duracoat on the guns.
But I definitely want to paint on furniture, walls, maybe
mailboxes, and just on paper and canvas. I have a million
ideas floating around in my head. I will send you some
pictures when we get all set up and running in the
Duracoat end of it. Thanks again and keep me on your list.

David Morton is a very good Teacher.
He has such a passion for teaching airbrushing. His methods
and techniques used are just terrific. I have not had any type
of art lessons prior to taking Dave's Beginner class. Now
after finishing the beginner class and just starting the
advanced class I feel that I've learned a tremendous amount. I
and my family are still amazed at the paintings I bring
home from Dave's class each week. It is so much fun
to paint something that looks realistic, and using Dave's
techniques make it seem so simple. I can't even draw but
using the projector and what I have learned from Dave so far
makes airbrush painting a real joy.
Thanks Jim
R. Kokomo ________________________________________________________________________ Before
I decided to learn airbrushing, I went online and looked at
the many artists and their owrk. I was very impressed what
some people are able to do without ever touching a medium.
After learning some basic techniques online, I quickly learned
that I need to have hands-on with an established instructor. I
reviewed several local, and out of town, artists and came
across airbrushclasses.com. Upon reviewing the website several
times, my wife decided to call Dave and inquiry about his
classes. We wanted to see if they were right for us. Upon
speaking to Dave for the first time, she immediately
registered me for his class (Beginner/Advance). She was amazed
at both his knowledge and ease of speaking to a novice in the
field. Upon taking this class I was not disappointed.
Everything that he said we would cover, we did. Although there
was plenty of frustration on my part, he showed patience and
tenacity that a novice required. He also showed the ability to
adapt to the nonbeginners in the class. I don't believe a
single person in our class left without increasing their skill
and knowledge in the art of airbrushing. Thanks
Dave.... Frank

When
I found Dave Morton's airbrush class, I had been airbrushing
for 3 years. The information I received from the class on
products and techniques is priceless. In each 2.5 hour class I
came away with a new skill, and a finished project. But the
most amazing thing to me was that the students who had never
picked up an airbrush until the class started were producing
the same quality of work that I was. The instruction is
wonderful and I would recommend this class to beginners as
well as more advanced airbrush artists.

_____________________________________________________________________________ Dave,
I
have long been amazed at the artwork created by airbrush
artists. Whether on canvas, a wall, a car, cycle I thought
" how cool I wonder if I can do it"… i wanted to try it.
So, I got an airbrush and some paints and quickly learned i
lacked the basic skills. Then I found your
website airbrushclasses.com. Your style of teaching is easy
and comfortable. You’ve brought to light many great
concepts and "tricks of the trade". It’s good to know I can
send you a photo of a project and get an honest
critique.
Thanks

A testimonial:
Dave Morton's AIRBRUSH CLASS was an awakening for me.
After knowing the graphic arts thru the keyboard exclusively for
years, the Tactile side of
the brain was rejuvenated. Dave's class can make an Art Beginner
feel like he could do
something brilliant AND an experienced graphic artist can be
shown that there's a whole new world.
I've learned a great deal in a short time and I'd go back for
MORE CLASSES in a Heartbeat.
I suggest this class for anyone who wishes to learn about a new
form of expression. Be they
Old Pros or Young Beginners, EVERYONE can learn something from
Dave.

After searching the internet extensively for airbrush classes in
my area, the only instructor that I could find was David Morton. I
attended his class and was very happy with all aspects of his
teaching methods. I was amazed at how easy David made it look. I am
the type of person that needs hand on instruction and that’s exactly
what he provided. I am very glad that I chose to take David’s class
and am looking forward to continuing to expand my airbrushing
skills! I would recommend David’s classes to everyone!

Hey Dave,
I have done art work most of my life, and wanted
to learn how to use an airbrush correctly. Dave's class was the
answer. I was very impressed with the skill he has with the
airbrush. He seems to be able to do anything with it. Dave has an
ability to teach with ease. After I took the first class I
decided to sign up for the advanced class. I learned a lot. I
would highly recommend Dave's class's to anyone that wants to
learn airbrush.
Thanks for the experience,

IT WAS 1996, WHEN I GRADUATED NOT KNOWING WHAT I WOULD BE DOING
ENTERING THE REAL WORLD, LET ALONE THE NEXT DAY. ANYHOW, I WAS
STROLLING AROUND, And I figured
THAT Airbrush WOULD BE SOMETHING UNIQUE TO ADD TO MY EXTENSIVE
ARTISTIC TRAINING I HAVE HAD THROUGHOUT SCHOOL. I THINK I WAS
PART OF EITHER THE FIRST OR SECOND CLASS HE HAD TOUGHT THERE. AND
I CAN TELL YOU THAT I LEARNED AS MUCH IF NOT MORE TECHNIQUE FROM
DAVE THAN I DID IN THE 6 YEARS OF FREEHAND DRAWING, AND ART
COURSES I HAVE BEEN THROUGH. FROM THE MOMENT I MET UP WITH DAVE
AT THE LOCAL BARNES & NOBLE IN 1996 TO THIS CURRENT DAY I
HAVE NEVER FOUND ANOTHER ARTIST MORE DEDICATED TO THEIR SUCCESS
IN THEIR ARTWORK AND THOSE THAT HE TEACHES. EVENTUALLY I STARTED
TO ASSIST DAVE AT HIS WORKSHOPS AS THEY GREW. THERE WAS NOT A
CLASS THAT I ATTENDED THAT I DID NOT LEARN SOMETHING NEW, EVEN AS
A SECOND HAND ASSISTANT. HE HAS KEPT MOTIVATION CRAWLING DOWN
MY BACK FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS THAT I HAVE CONCENTRATED ALL OF MY
TIME ON RAISING A NEW FAMILY. TODAY, WITHOUT DOUBT I WOULD NOT BE
STRIVING TO ACHIEVE A HIGHER SKILL LEVEL WITHOUT THE CONCERN OF
"THE GUY THAT TOUGHT ME HOW TO AIRBRUSH"- DAVID MORTON. I
CAN TELL EVERYONE THAT TO THIS DAY I HAVE THE "ALFALFA" PORTRAIT
THAT DAVE PAINTED IN THE FIRST HOUR OF MY FIRST LESSON HANGING IN
MY STUDIO AS MOTIVATION WHEN I AM WORKING. I AM MOST THANKFUL
TO DAVE NOT ONLY FOR THE AIRBRUSHING SKILLS THAT HE CONTINUES TO
OFFER, BUT FOR BELEIVING IN ME AND BEING THE FRIEND THAT STRESSES
HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO USE MY ABILITIES AND MAKE SOMETHING OUT
OF MY LIFE THAT I ENJOY, JUST AS HE HAS ACCOMPLISHED. THANK YOU
DAVE!!.

Thanks so much for your help Dave. I was previously introduced to
airbrushing when taking workshops
for glass and then again with metal. I would be introduced to a
great way of working and expanding the
bar using this technique but when I tried it outside of the
workshop it would be terrible. It would clog,
not go on evenly and generally such a mess I would just quit.
Finally by taking your class I feel in control
of the tool. Now I am excited about airbrushing being the best
aid for my art and including it with other
media I am exploring such as silk. Your class format was the
perfect learning method for me.

Having been involved in art work for many
years I have found it a good idea to interact with
artist in various fields of
art. Exposure to the numerous styles and mediums
available to
artist today can be mind boggling. I find
it a wise thing to seek out someone who is
experienced in a field of art that you
are interested in acquiring knowledge about.
After speaking to David on the phone I
was convinced he was going to be giving a well rounded
class. Well I am now in the 3rd set of
classes and still enjoying every session. David has
proven
to be a generous with help and ideas type
of instructor. All classes have been informative:
normally a demonstration followed by
student working time and concluded with a critique
of the work done in class. I was so
convinced that the classes would be informative that I
talked a non artist into taking the first
set of classes and he was so happy with the work he
accomplished that he has also taken the
2nd and 3rd set of classes.
I am using many of the
techniques taught to enhance painted
leather work, fabric painting, murals, watercolors,
decorative painting, wood carvings and am
trying to think of ways to use it in conjunction
with cloth doll making.

Hey David...
I really appreciate your "hands on" method of teaching the
airbrush class. Your commitment to each of us students
to really assimilate the information is above and beyond the
level of most educators!! Thanks for sharing your
passion.
Pat Therasse
Thanks David! You are without a doubt, the best instructor I've
ever had. You continue to educate me long after my
class with tips and valuable resources. You also continue to
inspire us with artwork, ideas and even financial advice for
painting for a living. I look forward to each email I receive
just knowing that something exciting is in store.
Thank you,
Deb B.
I took David's classes in 1997 as to hope for something in which
I can make some money on the side and it was almost like
God dropped this guy out of the sky. David is almost like the
Tony Robbins of Airbrush. There will be no stopping his
success in this field. He has an undeniable passion and drive to
not only share his techniques but also his patience is
something like I have never seen before. David adapts well within
different personality ranges and seems to find a way
to teach this skill to almost anyone. He is very animated and
very dynamic to say the least. Thanks David.

Our family of four, which includes
myself, my husband, 16-yr. old daughter and 15-yr. old son, all took
the
Basic Airbrushing Course taught by David
Morton. My daughter and I had previous art experience, but
my
husband and son did not. We all
thoroughly enjoyed the classes, and learned many useful
airbrushing
techniques. We are looking for areas to
develop a family business, and are excited about the prospects
of
airbrushing opportunities. David is a
very talented artist, and his teaching style is effective and
professional.
His enthusiasm for airbrushing is
contagious! Our family is looking forward to using what we have
learned,
and we hope to attend the Advanced
classes. We highly recommend David Morton!
Sincerely, Deborah Osborne and

A children's book I had illustrated had
just been published in Dec. 2006, and I was working with the author
to create kids furniture to compliment
her characters. I needed something to bring my work up a
notch...make
it look more professional. I found
David's brochure while researching airbrushes for sale and thought
maybe
this was the answer. However, I had no
idea what I was going to get into and was extremely intimidated.
That quickly changed! What fun! Day One
Dave dispelled the nerves and, while it was clear there was a lot to
learn, he immediately put the class at
ease and made us feel like we could do this. Who knew there were so
many things that can be done with an
airbrush! Way beyond my initial idea of children's furniture! And
who knew
there was so much to learn! I am
convinced that without David's particular classes, his method of
teaching, and
his way of simplifying a complex process,
I would never have seen all the possibilities and would probably
have
stopped before I even started. On top of
that, he is very enthusiastic and constantly demonstrates his
willingness
to help his students succeed in class and
outside of the classroom. It does not matter if they are a
professional
corporate manager just in there to have
fun, or if they are on a serious quest for a professional creative
career such
as myself. The classes I have taken so
far have included students with the age range of 12 to 50+, and
David is very
encouraging to the younger and more shy
members in the class as well as we older (and possibly more
intimidated)
ones. David is the type of teacher who
keeps an eye on his students and steps in when needed no matter the
skill leve
l of the student. The classes are intense
learning, but he keeps it moving and keeps it fun and keeps us
coming back
for more! Needless to say, I am a fan and
have a high appreciation for what he does and the patience in which
he does it! Thanks, Dave!

My name is Loyd Davis and I am artistically challenged. I've
appreciated many artistic mediums throughout my life from comic book
art to custom hotrod and motorcycle paint to grafitti and tattoo.
Over the last year I've had a custom sleeve tattooed. During the
process I became mildly obsessed with tattooing and came to wish
that I had followed a more artistic path and developed the skills
necessary to enter into an apprenticeship. Realizing that it would
take far too long to acquire said skills, and not wishing to become
the world's oldest tattoo apprentice afterward, I started thinking
about other artistic outlets. Airbrushing seemed like a good bet
considering my interests.
Enter David Morton and Airbrushclasses.com. I spotted David's
flyer one day and called. Through messages and e-mail I learned that
in airbrushing even the artistically challenged like myself can turn
out good results. And that is precisely what happened week after
week as I would follow David's excellent instruction and surprise
myself with quality results. The class was well paced and
information was presented in a very straightforward easy to
understand manner without any fancy artsy jargon; the atmosphere was
friendly and fun. I would freely recommend David's classes to anyone
with even a casual interest in learning to airbrush and will
definitely be attending his advanced class myself. Thanks Uncle
